BEHOLD the Gift

The Behold Project began unexpectedly.  After holding her infant grandson, Amber O’Brien wrote a poem for her book, Love. Always. Wins., imagining Mary, the mother of Jesus, holding her newborn Son for the very first time. To Amber’s complete surprise, a melody came to her for the poem, which became the song, “All Will Be Made Right.”

By joining our email community, you can receive a special Christmas devotional to accompany each of the seven songs on BeholdtheGift, along with news about upcoming music, performances, and the continuing journey of The BEHOLDtheGift&the Giver project.

So come sit at our table and break bread with us. “Taste and see…the Best is yet to be!”

The second album, BEHOLDtheGiver project planned for release in the spring of 2027, continues the story as Jesus grows up in Nazareth under the loving guidance of Mary and Joseph. We will listen to Joseph teaching Jesus the carpenter’s trade, Mary and Joseph searching anxiously for their twelve-year-old son, and Jesus beginning his public ministry at the wedding of Cana. From there, the music carries us toward the Last Supper, Gethsemane, the Cross—and ultimately, the joy and hope of the Resurrection.

And the story is still being written.

Amber O’Brien

Amber O’Brien is the founder, poet, and vision director of BEHOLD, a Christian music and

storytelling initiative inspired by Scripture and centered on the life of Jesus and the Holy Family. The project’s first album, BEHOLD The Gift, is a new Christmas album with original music sung by the finest voices in Nashville.

The talented Vanessa Campagna (Waymaker) sings the voice of Mother Mary, and Carlos Santiago ( The Voice) sings as Joseph, along with a talented cast of musicians, with the backing of the world-renowned Nashville Recording Orchestra.

Amber is the author of a book of short stories and poetry entitled Love.Always.Wins.

One of the poems in the book entitled “All Will Be Made Right” was written after Amber held her infant Grandson Gideon for the very first time.

“He smells like Heaven,” she exclaimed, and she thought about Mother Mary holding Jesus for the first time. “Wow! Mary was literally holding Heaven!”

Soon after Amber wrote the poem, a melody came to her, and she searched for a musician to bring the song to life. She found a local church music director named Todd Harrison Twinning , and soon they were writing other music to continue the story.

Next, they found the accomplished Nashville Producer Sal Oliveri, who not only produced the 7 Christmas songs but contributed as a songwriter and secured just the right voices for each biblical character.

Before launching the BEHOLD project, Amber owned and operated a few preschools.

Her favorite time of the school year consisted of visiting each classroom in December and using the nativity pieces to tell the story of Jesus being born in a stable with the animals. Using her experience presenting the Nativity to hundreds of children, she has written a devotional for each song on the Christmas album, Behold: The Gift that is free, on her website so that all families can enjoy the joy of preparing their home and hearts this Advent for the Greatest Gift we can hope to ever receive. Jesus.
