The Power of Water in the Mission Field - Jesus Wells

Unclean water is a leading cause of preventable deaths in the world. Between 1.2 million to over 1.6 million deaths annually can be attributed to this problem. But the effects of unclean water go way beyond death:

What should be a basic human right is leaving many communities open to multiple problems and prevent moving ahead, for example:

  • Access to water eliminates deadly diseases like cholera and diarrhea

  • Girls usually retrieve the water, leaving them open to wild animal attacks and exploitations of others, while keeping them out of school

  • Clean water allows communities to thrive by giving them time to raise crops, livestock, and have wealth building opportunities

  • Provide for greater sanitation, human dignity and better hygiene

  • Allow people to grow and irrigate their own gardens and provide year around food

  • Better hygiene, less medical costs

Bishop Daniel

Bishop Daniel serves as President of GFA World, one of the most effective, large-scale Christian missions organizations operating today:

  • Active in many nations across Africa and Asia

  • Trains and sends tens of thousands of indigenous missionaries

  • Reaches remote villages with education, clean water, health care, and the Gospel

  • Sisters of the Cross minister to women in red-light districts, leper colonies, and prisons

  • Mobilizing the Church to go where others can’t—or won’t

“The world tells us to constantly strive for more. Christ invites us to simply come into His presence and be changed by Him.”

— Bishop Daniel
